Ruth Holt - Chief Nurse
Ruth joined the Trust in November 2006 from a similar position at South Manchester University Hospitals NHS Trust.
In addition to taking the professional lead for all nursing and midwifery matters, she headed the team which successfully applied for Foundation Trust status.
Prior to her appointment in Manchester in 2002, Ruth was Assistant Chief Nurse at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust for three years. She has also held senior acute and community nursing positions in North and East Yorkshire.
Professional interests include membership of the Connecting for Health National Nurse Advisory Group and the Research Ethics Committee for Smith & Nephew.
Ruth also has a particular interest in education and the involvement of patients in the development of services.
