Chaplaincy volunteers

Chaplaincy volunteers are particular to the Chaplaincy Service.

About 80 Chaplaincy volunteers visit patients on hospital wards.

Another 6 or so Chaplaincy volunteers collect patients from wards in wheelchairs and accompany them to Sunday Chapel Services.

All our volunteers make an extremely valuable and much appreciated contribution to the work of Chaplaincy Services.

For existing Chaplaincy volunteers there are two in-service training days each year and a mid-Summer quiet day away from the city at a pleasant location.

For further information on the work of the department please contact Chaplaincy Secretary   Mrs Anne Taylor on (0113) 206 4365 or email   chaplaincy@leedsth.nhs.uk
