    Palliative Care

In certain circumstance it is no longer appropriate to continue active treatment of the cancer. This is at times when it has become clear that treating the cancer will cause more pain and suffering than no treating the cancer. In these circumstances it becomes appropriate to plan for dying.

Palliative care is the medical specialty which looks after patients in the final stages of their illness. They are specially trained to explore with you your attitudes and belief's with regards to death. They will help you with your wishes concerning your death.
