I initially trained as a Children's Nurse at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.  I was then appointed as a Children's Diabetes Nurse Specialist in 1997 at the LGI.  I then went onto work at both the LGI and St James's with the aim of establishing a cross city service.  I now work at St James's Hospital but have a role of leading on the development and co-ordination of the Insulin Pump Therapy Service for Leeds.

I trained as a registered nurse then as a Children's Nurse in Sheffield before moving to Leeds in 1983.  I have a lot of experience in working with families living with chronic illnesses.  I joined the Children's Diabetes Team in May 2000 and have been involved in creating many positive changes in the families living with diabetes in Leeds.   I have recently qualified as a non-medical prescriber.

I qualified as a nurse in 1991 in Harrogate and then continued training in Leeds as a Sick Children's Nurse.  I have been a Children's Diabetes Nurse Specialist since May 2000 and have seen many positive changes take place in this time.  More recently I have just qualified as a non-medical prescriber and look forward to using this shortly.

In March 2005 I joined the Children's Diabetes Team at St James's Hospital.  Prior to this I worked on Ward 52 as the Diabetes Link Nurse.  I will be working closely with Carole Gelder and look forward to meeting you all.

I qualified as a Dietitian in 1990 from Leeds Polytechnic (now Leeds Met) and have worked as a Children's Dietitian since 1991.  I have had experience with several Children's Diabetes Teams in Sheffield, Manchester and Brighton before arriving back in Leeds in 2002.  I was appointed full time as a Children's Diabetes Dietitian for both hospitals in Leeds in 2003.
