1.10 Clinical Guidelines, Protocols, and Flow Charts
All clinical guidelines, protocols, and flow charts are there to provide a logical approach to the management of most clinical situations and to guide your decision making. They are being prospectively evaluated and are based on accurate information. However, rigid adherence to these is not absolutely necessary BUT advice should be sought from senior staff before steeping outside of a guideline.
