4.5 GUM Referrals

Any patient can ring the GUM clinic between 9.00 and 16.30 for an appointment, from an outside line ring:-

Acute PID                                               Urethral discharge
Acute epididymo-orchitis (see Fig 9)            Dysuria in young men
Genital Herpes                                         Vaginal discharge
Acute reactive arthritis                             Genital warts
HIV related disease                                  Pubic lice
Any patient with genital problems               Mild or recurrent genital
who is distressed or in pain                        ulcers
