| Incidence | 6:1000 live births |
| Diagnosis | Ultrasound appearances of cord or bladder (usually vessel either side) |
| Gestation at diagnosis | 12 weeks onwards |
| Known chromosomal or genetic association | Yes, seen in association with trisomy 18 or 13. NOT trisomy 21. |
| Further investigations | Karyotype is associated with other risk factors for chromosomal abnormality. If normal consider serial growth scans as 15% associated with IUGR. |
| Differential Diaganosis | None |
| Prognosis | Excellent if isolated |
| Recurrance risk | Low |
