Central heart defect involving atrial and ventricular septums and their connecting valves |

| Known chromosomal or genetic association | Yes, 40% of cases have trisomy 21, 20% have trisomy 18,13 or heterortaxy snydrome |

| Differential Diaganosis | Isolated ASD VSD Heterotaxy |
| Prognosis | Usually require surgery at 4-6 months 5% operative mortality |
| Recurrance risk | 3% |
