Definition |
Primary structural disorder of the cardiacmuscle |
| Incidence | 0.2/1000 livebirths |
| Diagnosis | Prenatal gene testing available for a limited number |
| Gestation at diagnosis | 11 weeks onwards if gene known. Late third trimester otherwise. |
| Known chromosomal or genetic association | Can be inherited in an autosomal dominant or recessive fashion. Also associated with genetic conditions such as Noonan's and Neurofibromatosis. Sometimes found with poorly controlled maternal diabetes. |
