Definition

Bony abnormality giving curved (convex) foot appearance
Incidence 1:10000
Diagnosis Ultrasound
Gestation at diagnosis 16 weeks onwards
Known chromosomal or genetic association

Yes, 10% have Trisomy 18.

Also associated with arthrogryposis, NTD and Myotonic Dystrophy.

Differential Diaganosis

Talipes

Ectrodactyly

Amniotic Bands

Prognosis If isolated (rare) require surgery, but good prognosis
Recurrance risk Dependent on cause
