Welcome! This site has been designed for use by both patients and professionals.  It aims to provide practical information on who we are, where we are and what we do.  The Leeds Fetal Medicine unit serves patients from East, West and North Yorkshire who require certain types of specialised care in pregnancy.  It is based in both of the large teaching hospitals in Leeds (Leeds General Infirmary and St. James University Hospital).

How to use this site

The aim of this site is to provide information about some of the conditions and procedures that we deal with in the Leeds Fetal Medicine unit. It is designed both for patients and referring professionals to allow them advance knowledge of what might be said and happen when a patient visits us in Leeds at one of our specialised clinics.

The Fetal abnormality and soft marker database contains information summaries and leaflets that can be downloaded and printed out on the most common problems we encounter in Leeds (we hope to expand the active list in time). If you have any comment on our site please feel free to email us at ???
