NVQ Level 3 A1 Assessor Award

Duration / Frequency: The course 6 - 8 times a year
Study Hours: 40 Hours nominal; The candidate assessor must complete the assessment and documentation for a minimum of 3 NVQ units from two differing candidates 1 study day.
Candidates are advised that completion is expected within one year

No formal entry requirements but those undertaking this award must be deemed competent at the level and in the activities they wish to assess
Description
The NVQ Centre offers the A1 Assessor Award for anyone who wishes to assess NVQ candidates. Those wishing to undertake this award must have access to NVQ candidates who are undertaking work activities in which the candidate assessor has recognised competence and/or expertise.This award is gained upon presentation of a portfolio of evidence which meets the requirements of the awarding body
The NVQ A1 award is recognised nationally throughout healthcare and other industries and demonstrates the ability to assess to a standard that is associated with excellence in the workplace.
Note; individuals without the A1 or D32/33 assessor award or not studying to gain the award are not able to assess NVQ candidates irrespective of any other teaching and assessing qualification held.

Study Hours: 60 Hours nominal: candidate verifiers must complete a minimum of 3 NVQ Internal Verifier Reports of NVQ units
Entry requirements; Applications are welcome from any healthcare provider
Candidate verifiers must hold A1/D32/33 awards and be currently assessing NVQ Candidates and those undertaking this award must be deemed competent at the level and in the activities they wish to verify.

Those wishing to undertake this award must have access to NVQ Candidates who are undertaking work activities in which the candidate verifier has recognised competence and/or expertise. This award is gained upon presentation of a portfolio of evidence which meets the requirements of the awarding body
The NVQ V1 award is recognised nationally throughout healthcare and other industries and demonstrates the ability to assess to a standard that is associated with excellence in the workplace.
Note; individuals without the V1 assessor award or not studying to gain the award are not able to verify NVQ internal quality systems irrespective of any other teaching and assessing qualification held.
