Basic Skills at the NVQ Centre
Basic skills in Literacy & Numeracy are required for those undertaking qualifications with the NVQ Centre without a qualification at level 2 or higher (eg; O level English and Maths at Grade C and above or any NVQ2 or above).
Basic Skills are important in equipping individuals with skills needed for a modern workforce and preparing the individual for personal or career development

What's involved:
1. Initial assessment of English literacy / Numeracy
2. If passed you are accredited with a level 2 Certificate in Literacy / Numeracy
3. If the assessment highlights areas for further supported study this is undertaken
4. Final assessment if passed you are accredited with a level 2 Certificate in Literacy &/or Numeracy
if not further supported study this is undertaken until the final assessment is passed
