added: August 2007Foundation Degree in Management In conjunction with Park Lane College Business School, the NVQ centre is enrolling for September 2007 intake. This is a 2 year partime course running on a weekday evening and will equip the individual with the skills required by successful managers. added: 17/04//07Advanced Perioperative Assistant Project Leeds Teaching Hospitals Theatres are leading a project in conjunction with Bradford Teaching Hospitals to develop 2 new roles for theatre support workers. 12 people will be undertaking NVQ level 3 theatre awards and developing the Advanced Periopertive Assistant role in the scrubbed role and in post anaesthesia care. Project funded by Skills for Health This is an ideal opportunity for people working in theatres to gain advanced knowledge and skills and be prepared for the challenge of tomorrows workforce. added: 09/01/07Foundation Degree in Business Management The start date for this course is 31/01/07 and all students will meet at 4:30pm in the foyer at the city site of Park Lane college with 15 members of staff from many differing disciplines and backgrounds from both Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and the PCT. added: O1/12/06NVQ Centre Presentations Staff from throughout the Trust received there awards from Rachael Allsop Director of Human Resources. The awards were gained by people in a number of differing roles including care, medical laboratory support, management and admin & clerical. Over 150 people have gained awards with the NVQ and the Learning Centre since April this year from basic skills courses to advanced clinical support worker, administrators and managers. These awards are the culmination of much hard work and represent the individuals commitment to excellence in their work. Attendes of the Presentation received their awards from Racheal Allsop |

added: 23rd November 200612 - 2pm Boardroom Trust HQ St James's The NVQ Centre in partnership with Park Lane College is offering a foundation Foundation Degree in Business & Management. There will be a presentation by the course facilitator about the program and time for question & answers. Enrollment forms will be available to complete for interested parties. added: 07/11/2006The NVQ Centre is working with Hospital and Community based Midwifery Services in Leeds to develop 17 support workers, 7 based in the community and 10 within the hospitals. This is a new role which supports the midwives by taking a more active role in the care of babies and mothers. They will achieve an NVQ Level 3 in Maternity and Paediatric Support which will underpin the skills & knowledge necessary for this role |
