Work Experience
The process for students
At Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust we aim to offer a variety of work experience placements in both clinical (medically related) and non-clinical areas in an observation/shadowing capacity only which will last no more than 5 working days. However, not all clinical areas are suitable for work placements.
Each year the number of requests we receive, exceeds the number of placements we are able to offer as we also provide student placements for a range of professions including medicine, nursing and allied health professionals and these are given priority.
Am I eligible?
- Will you be at least 15 years of age at the time of your work placement?
- Do you live or study within the Leeds area?
How do I apply?
- Secure your own work placement by contacting the department of your choice directly
- Once the Department Manager has agreed to take you on work placement, please electronically download and complete an application form.
- Email the Department Manager a copy of your application form and retain a copy for your own records.
