Description

The NVQ Centre offers Management NVQs at different levels depending on the demands of the role. At level 3 you will be working in a first line manager capacity click here for further information. NVQs are work based qualifications that are achieved in the workplace and are attained by the submission of a portfolio of evidence that is derived primarily from assessment of the individual carrying out a range of real work activities and substantiated by further evidence from other sources. This approach is based on competency frameworks in that they incorporate a measure of an individuals' performance recognising proficiency rather than a theoretically based content of an academic qualification. NVQs are linked to the Knowledge & Skills Framework and attainment of the competencies embodied in the NVQ award will to a large extent map the requirement specified in a KSF performance development review. NVQs in Management are recognised nationally throughout healthcare and other industries and demonstrate the ability to perform to a standard that is associated with excellence in the workplace. NVQs in Management are linked to career development for those who wish progression or for those who require a management qualification to underpin their current role. They are flexible, modular in design, transferable and designed to meet the needs of the individual and the organisation.
