Orthoptics
Orthoptists specialise in the diagnosis, treatment and management of ocular motility and binocular vision disorders in all age groups. They also specialise in paediatric vision assessment.
Orthoptists can work as autonomous practitioners providing care and treatment without reference to medical staff.
All orthoptists hold a diploma or degree in orthoptics and are state registered with the Health Professions Council.
