About Us

Our Mission

The Service redesign team is the catalyst of change within LTHT. We provide the organisation with dedicated service redesign expertise, structured training and hands off support.

This enables our staff to provide the highest quality healthcare to those patients who need it, at a realistic cost.

What We Do

We provide support to all areas of the business in achieving the Trust's core objectives of:

  • Achieving Excellent Clinical Outcomes
  • Becoming the hospital of choice.
  • Improving the way we manage our business.

We support the business by:

  • Leading and facilitating on service redesign programmes/projects.
  • Providing coaching and advice on best practice and proven service redesign techniques
  • Providing training on best practice service redesign tools and techniques.

The aim of our support is to assist colleagues within the organisation to become clear on:

Strategic Objectives:

  1. What is the "purpose" of the service? In other words - what is core business and what is not? We work with colleagues to understand service “position” and “potential” in relation to agreed “purpose”.
  2. With clarity of purpose comes the opportunity to work with colleagues to agree the areas of focus that need to be developed in order to become “fit for purpose”. The areas of focus define the “priorities” for their service over the coming 2-3 years.

Tactical Objectives:

  1. The deliverables or objectives that need to be achieved in the next year, the “products”
  2. Products are delivered through “processes”. We work with colleagues to ensure that processes are lean, efficient, affordable, effective and continually improved.
  3. Processes are only as good as the “people” who support them. As processes evolve, the people involved need clarity about their role, relationship, responsibilities, behaviors, skills and the knowledge required to make the process work.

If you would like us to help you to improve your service, contact us today and we will be pleased to advise you and help you take the next steps.
