UK Government Chief Information Officer visits Supplies

| The department recently had a high profile visit from Ian Watmore, UK Government Chief Information Officer . During a visit to West Yorkshire, Ian looked at a number of success stories where information technology is making a real difference to local healthcare. He had an overview of the Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS) within Radiology, before visiting the Supplies department to talk to staff involved in e-procurement. The theme was continued in supplies with a demonstration of SPNet 'track and trace' linking products used in a procedure to patient records in Radiology. |  |
