Please be alert to possible scams which are designed to ascertain your bank details or otherwise trick you into handing over your money. We recently identified a situation where an international doctor had been contacted via email and informed that they had successfully secured employment with the Trust. The email went on to say that the individual should now contact the 'Immigration Service' to organise paying their fee for obtaining their 'travelling papers'. Fortunately this individual became suspicious and checked the validity of this email with the Central Recruitment Team.

The Human Resources Team, Audit Team and the Counter-Fraud Team work hard to ensure that Trust processes reduce the risk of you being a victim of such scams.  You will only be offered employment with the Trust if you have gone through a Trust recruitment cycle after applying online using NHS Jobs.  Furthermore, you do not need to provide the Trust with your bank details until your first day at work.
